3D-Movement Analysis
What is the use of a 3D Movement Analysis?
The movement analysis provides objective Data about the function of the knee and hip joints by means of ultrasonic topometer.
It shows “silent” malfunction, for instance, failure in the movement of joints at an early stage, even before the affected person takes notice. An early diagnosis with appropriate intervention can slow down, alleviate or even prevent diseases.
Which information does movement analysis provide?
The basis of the assessment are angles, angular speed and accelerating curves, rolling and sliding behavior of the knee joint and the analysis of force distribution on the femoral head.
With the help of a 3D movement analysis, changes of the normal excursion and deviation of the motion quality in terms of regularity, rhythm and round movement sequences are registered.
How does movement analysis work with ultrasonic topometer?
With ultrasonic topometry, the exact position of joints in motion is captured by means of sound waves. The movement is illustrated in a curve shape, which helps to evaluate the functional status of the joints. The sound waves are not sensed by humans and the examination is completely pain-free and has no negative effects on the human body.
